Conor Brady was the editor of ''The Irish Times'' for 16 years, between 1986 and 2002, having previously edited the ''Sunday Tribune''. ==Life== Brady was educated at St. Columba's Christian Brothers College, Tullamore, Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary and at University College Dublin, where he edited the college paper. Judged to be an excellent editor, his legacy was somewhat marred when the paper suffered financial problems in his final year as editor. In 2002, he was succeeded by Geraldine Kennedy, the first female national daily newspaper editor in Ireland. His book on his career, ''Up with the Times'', was published in October 2005.
